Gestalt therapy
Gestalt therapy is a form of humanistic psychotherapy and a philosophy of life which focuses on change.
‘Gestalt’ is a German word which can be translated as ‘giving shape’. Through this process I support my clients in shaping their own life in accordance with their aspirations.
Gestalt therapy enables the identification of behavioral patterns that are no longer functional (because – for example – they generate results different or opposite from those intended) at both a professional and personal level and to understand their root cause. Causes typically need to be searched for in the personal history of the client, often in their childhood.
During gestalt therapy sessions I support my clients in exploring new perspectives – thus enlarging the spectrum of their options – to approach their environment in a more conscious and responsible manner and to act in accordance with their needs and their values.
Overcome dysfunctional patterns
This form of psychotherapy is particularly effective in improving emotional intelligence, enhancing communication effectiveness and stress management skills and solving problems related to self-esteem and personal relationships.
While executive coaching is focused on a defined set of professional goals and does not search for the root causes of behavioral patterns, gestalt therapy covers all aspects of the life of an individual, researches the causes of non-functional behaviors and leaves clients free to define the topic of each session.
“Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself.”
